“Willow, it’s me,” Skyler’s voice came through, dripping with mockery. “Are you about to have your finger chopped off? I heard from my mom that it’s quit
“Skyler, let Zayn answer the phone! I need to talk to Zayn!”
“Zayn just finished showering. I’ll have him answer the phone later.”
Zayn was showering, and Skyler was with him…
Willow’s heart began to ache again. She had known that Zayn had been intimate with Skyler, but hearing him showering at Skyler’s place still felt like a dagger to

After a brief pause, Skyler’s voice came through again. “Zayn, Lolo seems to be in trouble. She said she needs you to save her, or she’ll die!”
Zayn wasn’t near his phone, but his shouts were loud enough for Willow to hear.
“If she dies, it’s her own damn fault!”
“Bang!”
Willow’s phone fell to the ground, and she suddenly lost all her strength to resist.
In her mind, all she could hear was Zayn’s earlier words. “If she dies, it’s her own damn fault.”
Her hand was forcefully pressed onto the ground, her pinky finger brutally chopped off, and the sight of the crimson blood clouded her vision.
The excruciating pain couldn’t alleviate the agony in her heart.

Willow pressed her uninjured right hand firmly against her chest, still unable to breathe due to the pain.

She trembled as her hand reached to hang up the phone, but another voice came from the other end.
It was Skyler’s discordant moaning..
It felt like a dagger to Willow’s heart. Zayn was embracing his beloved and having the time of his life.
Willow couldn’t control herself any longer, as tears fell onto the screen of her phone.
She kept telling herself, “Willow, don’t be so weak.”
But her tears just wouldn’t stop.
Matthew coldly stared at the woman on the ground, covered in blood and in a sorry state. He thought teaching her a lesson and helping Wilhelmina seek revenge would bring him great satisfaction.
But for some reason, seeing her helpless on the ground, his heart suddenly dulled with a numb pain.
Afraid of what irrational act he might commit if he continued to watch, Matthew quickly left.
“Ms. Foster, how should we deal with this severed finger?”
