Chapter 207
BOOKTER 77
Rowan's POV
As soon as Reina told me what happened through the mind-link I grabbed the remaining pieces of Mika's father and set him on fire. I could hear Mika breathing heavily from behind me.
No child must witness her father's death in such a horrific manner but I did what I had to do. That way, no other child gets
to suffer.
"Make sure he burns to ashes. That should be your only duty as a father for the first time in years,"
I told the King before I left with Alpha Darius.
Mika's father was already dead. There was no doubt about that. He'd bled to death even before I removed his heart from his chest. I just believed I would have satisfaction from watching him burn to ashes.
That was my retribution.
By the time we arrived at the borders, Reina was on her knees. She was facing the floor as she wailed. I ran up to her and held her. I had to remove my shirt and wear it for her.
"What's wrong? What happened?"
"Ella, she's gone," she only answered.
I looked around us to realize she was all alone. Ella was nowhere to be found.
"Gone where?" I asked her.
She shook her head and started crying, words failing her. "She's dead, she answered.
"Then, where is her body?" I asked her.
At least, if Ella was dead, there should be a body. "I don't know, She answered through tears. "What do you mean by that, Reina?" Her dad who was already krieeling beside her asked.
"Someone took her before I got here,"
"What!"
"I don't know. I don't know,
"It's okay, Reina, we'll look for her,"
I promised her,
"I'm so sorry, Reina," I knew how much Ella meant to her,

"Mother," she answered before she added. "Ella took the stab meant for me,"
Alpha Darius and I shared a look. They weren't able to catch this Mother but they found Chief's wife where he was hiding. Their son was nowhere to be found.

“We'll find her and she'll pay for what she did to Ella,”
Alpha Darius hadn't gotten up fully from the floor when we heard a scream and crashing from behind us. When we turned it was King Ryker. He had just slammed a woman to the floor. It was her scream we heard. He grabbed her by her hair as she struggled for freedom and whistled before he revealed her face to us.
